Each technology comes with its own advantages, and I’ll provide a short insight into their implementation. Additionally, I’ve included a section on the simplest STEM component to introduce in the classroom: circuits. The technology on this list requires no additional devices! These items are a wonderful starting place if you are looking to integrate STEM into your art classroom. Consider starting students off with using Circuit Maze and Squishy Circuits. These two tools help them build the basic skills in understanding of how circuits work. After students build some confidence, I introduce more challenge elements using Snap Circuits and Circuit Kits. The inclusion of circuits kits with sculpture opens a world of possibilities, allowing students to experiment with adding motors, fans, and lights to their artistic creation.
